LEVEL 1 CHEERLEADING

Aqua Elite is proud to offer level 1 cheerleading with our U12 competitive team, Mist!

Level 1 cheerleading is the foundation level for competitive cheer. While there are strict rules on stunts and skills, our U12s have performed some wonderfully creative and exciting routines, which still include some difficult tricks! You don’t have to have loads of experience for level 1 cheer – many of your teammates at this level will still have lots to learn. 

Our annual summer tryouts are your opportunity to show us what you can do and progress in your cheerleading journey with Aqua, so make sure you’re always up to date on the latest news by following us on social media!

Level: U12′ Level One
Age: 9-12 years
Location: Chislehurst
Training: Thursday’s 6.45 – 8.15pm & Saturday’s 10.45am – 12.45pm
Cost: £100 per month

Despite being known as a foundation level, Level 1 cheerleading is anything but boring and basic. Mist is for those who have decided they want to make more of a commitment to cheer beyond recreational classes, meaning we are driven, energetic, experimental, and creative in every single practice! At Level 1, we focus on skills such as: 

• Basic stunts and pyramids
• Introductory tumbling, including rolls, cartwheels, handstands and round-offs
• Jumps, cheer motions and choreography
• Performance skills, timing and synchronisation

One of the biggest focuses at Level 1 is developing safe stunt technique. Athletes learn how to work together as bases, backspots and flyers while building confidence through stable, well-executed stunts and transitions.
